I am a true West Virginian having lived most of my life here except ten years I lived in Ohio, three years when I was very small, and seven years when my husband was in the trucking business.
I went to a three room school in Orlando, (Braxton Co.) and graduatedfrom Burnsville High School in 1953. I got married in 1954 and I'm still married to the same man, for 55 years. We have three wonderful children, Scott, Patti and Kim, we have 6 wonderful grand children and one deceased, we have 5 wonderful great grand daughters and 3 step great grand sons. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family and I was so blessed to be a stay at home Mommy.
After our children were grown I went into business for myself, I was in the craft business for 18 years and in the restaurant business for 7 years.
When I retired in 2004 it was so wonderful to stay home, after working all those years. Now I would be able to decorate my house. Three years ago, My husband bought me a computer and i took computer classes at our local Senior
Citizens Center. Oh how excited I was to learn all that stuff and I'm still learning Now I spend a lot of my time in my computer room, [that I decorated like a log cabin} writing stories about growing up in the little village of Orlando. One day I'm hoping to have a book published
